দেশের স্বাধীনতা ও সার্বভৌমত্ব রক্ষায় জাতীয় প্রগতি কাউন্সিল দীর্ঘ ১৬ বছর ধরে কাজ করে যাচ্ছে।যাতে চব্বিশের গণঅভ্যুত্থান আমাদের অনুপ্রেরণা জুগিয়েছে।বাংলার আকাশ, স্থলভাগ, নৌপথ ও সীমান্ত আমরা মুক্ত রাখতে পেরেছি।কোনো ধরণের বড় অনাকাঙ্ক্ষিত ঘটনা ছাড়াই জুলাই-আগস্ট গণঅভ্যুত্থান সুদীর্ঘ একটি বছর অতিক্রম করতে পেরেছে।দেশে বিদেশী শত্রুদের আনাগোনা আমরা দেখিনি।বাংলার আপামর জনতা এই অভ্যুত্থান ধরে রাখতে আপ্রাণ চেষ্টা করেছে।বলা যায়, তারা জাতীয় প্রগতি কাউন্সিলকে নিয়ে পুরোমাত্রায় সফল।আরো বলা যায়, জয়-পরাজয়ের ভাগিদার হতে আসিনি; অভ্যুত্থান সফল করতে এসেছি।ফলশ্রুতিতে জনগণ বিজয়ী হয়েছে ও সমাজতান্ত্রিক বিপ্লবের পথে আরো একধাপ এগিয়ে গেছে।
জামায়াতে ইসলাম একটি ধর্মীয় মৌলবাদী রাজনৈতিক দল।তাই এদেরকে রাজনৈতিকভাবে মোকাবেলা করতে হবে।বিশেষত তাই বলতেই হয়, এদের ধরিয়ে দিন। ছাত্রশিবিরের অধিকাংশ প্যানেল ইতিমধ্যেই ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে ভোট কারচুপি করে বিজয়ী হয়েছে। ছাত্রশিবিরকে তাই আগের মতো একদম একঘরে করে রেখে আর লাভ হবে না।প্রয়োজন জাতীয় প্রতিরোধের।

গাঁজাকাণ্ডে আক্রান্ত ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ক্যাম্পাস।মাদক হলো নেশা উদ্রেককারী বস্তু, যা মানুষের মস্তিষ্কের স্বাভাবিকতাকে নষ্ট করে দেয়, যার প্রভাবে মস্তিষ্ক ঠিকভাবে কাজ করে না। গাঁজা, ফেনসিডিল, চরস, ভাং, গুল, জর্দা, হেরোইন, প্যাথেড্রিন, মদ, ইয়াবাসহ সবই মাদকের অন্তর্ভুক্ত। যখন কেউ এসব দ্রব্যের ওপর নির্ভরশীল হয়ে পড়ে, তখনই তাকে 'মাদকাসক্ত' বলা হয়। মাদক সব অপরাধের আকর। ছাত্রশিবির নামক একদল রগকাটা সন্ত্রাসী ও জঙ্গিদের সহায়তায় ঢাবিতে এই নেশাজাতীয় মাদক গ্রহণে আর কোনো বাধা রইল না।তারা নামে-বেনামে বিভিন্ন ওষুধ কোম্পানির সাথে ব্যবসায় জড়িত।তাছাড়া খুন, ধর্ষণ, প্রশ্নপত্র ফাঁস, শিক্ষক লাঞ্ছনা, শিক্ষক নির্যাতন ও নারী শিক্ষকদের হিজাবে বাধ্য করাসহ নানা অভিযোগ উঠেছে ছাত্রশিবিরের বিরুদ্ধে।এদের বিরুদ্ধে অবিলম্বে গণআন্দোলন ও গণপ্রতিরোধ গড়ে তুলুন।
জামায়াতে ইসলামী এমন একটি রাজনৈতিক দল যারা জাতীয়তাবাদের ধার ধারে না।জাতীয়তাবাদের ধারণা ছাড়া রাজনৈতিক দল অকল্পনীয়।এটি একটি অলীক স্বপ্নের বাস্তবায়ন।দেশকে জঙ্গিবাদী মদদ ও বিজ্ঞানের বিপক্ষে শক্তি জোগাড় করছে।দেশের স্বাধীনতা ও সার্বভৌমত্বের জন্য যা মারাত্মক হুমকি।ধর্ম কখনো রাজনীতি স্বীকার করে না; বিশেষত ইসলাম ধর্ম তো নয়ই।নবী হযরত মুহাম্মদের আমলে এসবের প্রচলন ছিল না।তিনি রাজনীতি জানতেন না সুতরাং বুঝতেও বলেন নি।ধর্মীয় রাজনীতি শেষ নবীর আদর্শকে সরাসরি চ্যালেঞ্জ জানাচ্ছে।এদেরকে ধর্ম অবমাননার দায়ে পাকড়াও করুন ও সশ্রম কারাদণ্ডে পাঠিয়ে দিন।সেটাই বর্তমানকালীন যুক্তিযুক্ত পদক্ষেপ।

একজন মুসলিমকে প্রতিদিন শুধুমাত্র নামাজেই দুইশত সাতাশি বার আল্লাহুর নাম জপতে হয়।তাছাড়া রমজান মাসে বিশ রাকাত তারাবীহ নামাজ অতিরিক্ত ও ইসলামী জলসা তো চলছেই।তাই এই ইসলামকে কোন অর্থে ও কোন বৈশিষ্ট্যে দর্শনের মর্যাদা দেওয়া যায়!এটা এক ধরণের ভাওতাবাজি।হিন্দুরা তেত্রিশ কোটি দেবতার নাম জপে অশিক্ষিত জনতা পুষছেন।এটা কোন দর্শনের পর্যায়ে পড়ে?যা মুর্খামি ভিন্ন অন্য কিছু নয়।খ্রিস্টানবর্গীয় দর্শন খুবই সীমিত ও স্বল্প মাত্রার।বৌদ্ধধর্মের মূলমন্ত্র অহিংসা চর্চা এক ধরণের উপহাস ছাড়া কিছু নয়।মূলতঃ হয়ে উঠতে হবে বিপ্লবাত্মক।এক ধরণের দর্শনহীন কল্পিত দর্শনের চর্চা আর কতদিন পাত্তা পাবে?
শাদা পলেস্টার কাপড় দিয়ে খাদ্য প্রদানের দোকানগুলো ঢেকে রাখতে হবে।একথা বলে ইসলামী মৌলবাদীরা কি মিন করতে চাইছেন!জনগণের উপবাসের গৌরব ছড়িয়ে দিতে হবে!!এ কোন ধরণের গৌরব?এ গৌরবের অপচেতনা তারা কোন কোন গ্রন্থে পেল?সেসব গ্রন্থসমূহকে অবিলম্বে বাজেয়াপ্ত ও নিষিদ্ধ ঘোষণা করতে হবে।
তাছাড়া জোরপূর্বক এসব রাস্তাঘাটে ছড়ানো ও অবৈধ বলপ্রয়োগ তাদেরকে ক্রমশ বিপদগ্রস্ত করে তুলছে না!এ ভুল তাদের কবে ভাঙবে?বলপ্রয়োগ চলতে পারে একটি নির্দিষ্ট সময়ব্যাপী।নানা কায়দায় সারাবছরব্যাপী বলপ্রয়োগ তাদের ব্যাপকতা বাড়াবে নাকি অবশেষে কাঁটার মুকুট পরিয়ে দেবে; সেটাই এখন দেখার বিষয়বস্তু।

A non-communal political party could be the All India NPC. The vanguard force of the working class will be led by the communists. A real proletarian party will certainly gain the reputation of revolution. But we expect a socialist society from a revolutionary party like the NPC. বিশ্বের পরিসীমায় রাষ্ট্রকে আর রাষ্ট্রের গণ্ডিতে অঞ্চলের ধারণায় আসা যাক।বিশ্বের ক্ষেত্রে রাষ্ট্রকে ভেঙে-চুড়ে বিশ্বসেবায় নিয়োজিত হতে হয়। অন্যদিকে অঞ্চলকে সর্বাধিক বিবেচনায় রেখে রাষ্ট্রকে ভেঙে-চুড়ে দিতে হয়।সেটাই সঠিক রাজনীতি ও বুদ্ধিমত্তা।এক্ষেত্রে নির্বাচনিক ব্যবস্থায় একমাত্র এমপি পদপ্রার্থীদের আমলে নিতে হয়।এখন সোজাসাপ্টা ভাষায় সরাসরি বিশ্বের প্রসঙ্গে আসা যাক।অঞ্চলকে সুগঠিত করতে নানা দিক সামনে আসবে।যেমন- রাজধানীতে একটা অফিস, তারপর প্রত্যেক জেলা ও উপজেলায় ছড়িয়ে পড়া, শ্রমিক এলাকা সংগঠিত করা, কৃষকদের নূন্যতম আমলে নেওয়া, নির্বাচন এবং অঙ্গসংগঠনের দিকে নজর দেওয়া ইত্যাদি।অত্যন্ত বিচক্ষণতার সাথে তারপরও আমরা স্থানীয় সরকার নির্বাচনকে অতোটা আমলে নেবনা।কিন্তু সিটি কর্পোরেশন নির্বাচনের দিকে নজর না দিলেও চলে। তাছাড়া অঞ্চল বিবেচনা করতে গিয়ে একেবারে পাড়া-মহল্লায় পৌঁছে গেলে তো আর চলে না। সুগঠিত বিপ্লবী পার্টি হতে চাইলে রাজধানীতে পৌঁছান ও অতি শীঘ্রই নিজ এলাকায় ছড়িয়ে পড়ুন।
এবার জাতীয় সংসদ নির্বাচন প্রসঙ্গে একটি রাজনৈতিক দলের ভূমিকা নিয়ে আলোচনা করা যাক।শোনা যাচ্ছে, ১২টি সংসদীয় আসনে কোনো এমপি পদপ্রার্থী নেই।আবার ৯০টি আসনে ভোট নাও হতে পারে।তেমনি সবগুলো রাজনৈতিক দল মিলে ১৫০টি আসনের মীমাংসায় পৌঁছুনো যায়।এবার পিআর পদ্ধতি নিয়ে আলোচনায় আসা যাক।আনুপাতিক প্রতিনিধিত্ব বা পিআর হচ্ছে নির্বাচনি ব্যবস্থার এমন একটি পদ্ধতি যেখানে আসন বণ্টন হয় প্রতিটি রাজনৈতিক দলের প্রাপ্ত ভোটের আনুপাতিক হারে।মার্কসীয় বা বরাতীয় ধারণা থেকে নির্বাচন রাষ্ট্রক্ষমতা লাভের কোনো পদ্ধতি হতে পারে না।তাছাড়া এরকম পরিস্থিতিতে পিআর পদ্ধতির সাথে গতানুগতিক নির্বাচনের একটা দ্বন্দ্ব দেখা যাচ্ছে।যেটা কখনোই মিটবে না।এখন দেখা যাক, পরিস্থিতি কোন দিকে গড়ায়?
সংখ্যানুপাতিক প্রতিনিধিত্ব বা আনুপাতিক প্রতিনিধিত্ব (ইংরেজি: Proportional representation; পিআর) বলতে এমন যেকোনো ধরনের নির্বাচনী ব্যবস্থাকে বোঝায় যেখানে নির্বাচকমণ্ডলির উপগোষ্ঠীরা (তথা রাজনৈতিক দল) উপযুক্ত নির্বাচিত সংগঠনে আনুপাতিক হারে প্রতিফলিত হয়।এই ধরনের ব্যবস্থার সারকথা হলো যে এই পদ্ধতিতে আসন বণ্টন হয় প্রতিটি রাজনৈতিক দলের প্রাপ্ত ভোটের আনুপাতিক হারে,অর্থাৎ প্রদত্ত সকল ভোট বা প্রদত্ত প্রায় সকল ভোট একটি সুষ্ঠু নির্বাচনী ফলাফল গঠনে অবদান রাখে এবং কার্যকরভাবে কাউকে নির্বাচিত করতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। সাধারণত অন্যান্য নির্বাচনী ব্যবস্থার অধীনে প্রার্থীদের নির্বাচিত করতে একটি আপেক্ষিক বা স্বল্প সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠতার প্রয়োজন হয়। অপরপক্ষে, সংখ্যানুপাতিক ব্যবস্থায় বিভিন্ন দলকে সুষম হারে প্রতিনিধিত্ব প্রদান করা হয়, যার মাধ্যমে প্রদত্ত ভোট কীভাবে প্রদান করা হয়েছে তা প্রতিফলিত হয়।

One hundred and ten years have passed since the progressive movement, including the National Progressive Council. At the beginning, the First World War was organized. Then, under the leadership of Comrade Lenin, we saw the first socialist society. Socialists played an important role in World War II. They were a kind of policy makers. After World War II, the Cold War began between the then Soviet Union and the USA. As a result of the Cold War, the Soviet Union collapsed after 70 long years. Which was a very natural and unexpected event. Which had no special significance. This incident once again reveals the weakness of the capitalists and is an expression of their narrow-mindedness. The danger does not abate, but rather the world becomes more dangerous. The danger did not end in Bangladesh either. Despite repeated attacks by dictatorships and fascists, there was no one to protest. Although the National Progressive Council stood with most of the students, workers and the masses. Even then, there was no benefit in the larger good. The communists have not yet been able to take advantage of this mass uprising.
The Second World War was the result of the conflict between colonial imperialist countries and non-colonial capitalist countries. The 110-year-old NPC played an important role in World War II. The prominent Lithuanian activist and writer Juozas Tumas-Vaižgantas, who regarded progress as the main aspect of future politics. This political party, founded in 1916, came to Bangladesh and took on a communist form and allied with progressives. After all these years, the progressive form of the party has improved further, which is a qualitative change. From a quantitative to a qualitative change, the party is now a communist group. That is, it no longer has the traditional developed form.
Based on the two-nation theory, two independent states, India and Pakistan, were formed in 1947. Then came the Bangladesh Liberation War, where the Razakars killed the freedom fighters. However, later the Awami League could not resolve the conflict between the Razakars and the freedom fighters. The NPC first declared independence in the 1971 Liberation War. The NPC played an important role in the liberation war of Bangladesh. We should learn from the mass uprising of 1969.
The contribution of the NPC to the movement against Ershad's dictatorship should not be forgotten. The anti-fascist movement has been strengthened since 2008. The NPC also joined the movement in a strong manner. It was ultimately successful. Moreover, our party fought with its life during the First World War and the Indian War of Independence. So, accelerate the struggle of the National Progressive Council for these 110 years.
The pioneering struggle of the NPC can be divided into two main parts: from World War I to World War II and from the Indian independence movement to the fascist liberation movement of Bangladesh. We had direct participation in both world wars. Moreover, the reading of the Declaration of Independence in 1971 was a significant event in the Bangladesh Liberation War. The mass uprising of 1969 provided inspiration. The anti-dictatorship movement has increased our strength and courage. The anti-fascist movement that began in 2008 has not taught us to accept defeat. The NPC is a frontline ally in the resistance against the Awami League. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's one-party authoritarian rule has always been criticized.

PW strongly condemns the retaliatory attacks by Iran and Israel. War can never bring any benefit. War is only for madness.
What if the Israeli attack fails? What if Iran's nuclear facilities are too deep, too well protected? What if its 400kg of 60% enriched uranium – the nuclear fuel that is just a small step away from being fully weapons-grade, enough for ten bombs or so – is not destroyed?
It's thought it may be hidden deep in secret mines. Israel may have killed some nuclear scientists but no bombs can destroy Iran's knowhow and expertise.
What if Israel's attack convinces Iran's leadership that its only way of deterring further attacks is to race for nuclear capability as fast as it can?
What if those new military leaders round the table are more headstrong and less cautious than their dead predecessors?
We will not forget Iran's past bravery. On the other hand, we protest this heinous attack by Israel. Israel has already destroyed Palestine. They no longer exist. The "Red Army" refers to the armed forces of the Soviet Union, formed after the Russian Revolution in 1917 and later known as the Soviet Army after World War II. I have received free permission to enter 16 provinces of 16 countries around the world, including Dhaka. We know that we cannot look back for the next 40 years. Therefore, we expect cooperation from every country, especially educational-social-cultural and all progressive organizations. We are not forgetting the friendship of the heroes and heroines of cinema and popular sportsmen.
We don't tell entrepreneurs to lose heart over budget. You can reach specific goals by agreeing with PW. We will not forget the spontaneous participation of workers & labour. There is support from a large section of real farmers. Moreover, the issue of free entrepreneurs and businessmen will not be lost.
